Privacy policy
Archived Souls LLC Last updated: September 14th, 2026
Archived Souls LLC ("Archived Souls," "we," "us") operates archivedsouls.com. Our store is hosted by Shopify and our payments run through Stripe.
This policy explains what we collect, why, who touches it, and what you can make us do about it. We collect as little as we can to run the store. We do not sell your personal information.
By using the site, you accept this policy. Where it conflicts with our Terms of Service, this policy controls on anything to do with your personal information.
1. What we collect
Contact details — name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address.
Order information — items viewed, carted, purchased, returned, or cancelled; order history; payment confirmation, card brand, and last four digits.
Payment information — card numbers and payment credentials are collected and processed directly by Shopify and Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
Account information — if you create an account: username, password, saved preferences.
Early access list — email, optional phone number, and your answer to "where'd you find us."
Device and usage information — IP address, device and browser type, approximate region, pages viewed, referring link, and cookie identifiers.
Your messages — anything you include when you email or DM us.
Inferences we draw from the above, such as which pieces you're likely interested in.
Where it comes from: directly from you, automatically from your device as you use the site, from service providers acting for us, and occasionally from partners.
2. What we don't collect
Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, bank account numbers, or full payment card numbers. We don't ask for demographic information. We don't knowingly collect anything from children.
3. What we use it for
- Running the store — processing payment, packing, shipping, tracking, returns, defect claims, and your account
- Customer service — answering you and solving problems with an order
- Marketing — drop announcements and release information by email, and by text only with your separate opt-in. Advertising our pieces on other platforms.
- Security and fraud — verifying accounts, screening fraudulent orders, protecting the site
- Legal and tax — sales tax filings, financial records, responding to lawful requests, enforcing our terms
4. Who we share it with
- Shopify — store hosting, checkout, orders, accounts, analytics
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud screening
- Shipping carriers — your name and address, to deliver the package
- Email and SMS providers — order updates and, if you opted in, announcements
- Advertising and analytics platforms — site traffic and campaign measurement
We also disclose information when you tell us to, when the law requires it (subpoenas, warrants, valid government requests), to enforce our terms or protect our rights, and in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Each provider handles your data under its own privacy policy.
5. Shopify's role
Our store runs on Shopify, so information you submit is transmitted to Shopify and to third parties that may sit outside the country you live in. Shopify uses some of this data across its merchant network to provide enhanced store and advertising features. For those uses, Shopify is the one responsible for the processing, including for handling your requests about it.

6. Targeted advertising, and your opt-out
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share it for targeted advertising as some state privacy laws define that term — meaning platforms like Meta or TikTok may measure how our content performs and show our pieces to people like you.
You can opt out at any time.
If you visit with Global Privacy Control enabled, we treat that as an opt-out request for that browser automatically, and we apply it to your account where we can identify one. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
7. Email and text messages
Joining the early access list or opting in at checkout means we may email you about releases and restocks. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
We will only text you if you separately and affirmatively opt in to marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you've placed.
8. Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and measure how our content performs. You can block or delete them in your browser — but essential cookies are required for checkout, and disabling them breaks the store.
9. Content you send us
If you answer one of our questions, send a photo, or write a review, our Terms of Service (§6) explain how we may use it. Community answers are published anonymously and stripped of identifying details. Email us and we'll stop using yours.
10. Other sites
Links to other sites are for convenience, not endorsement. Once you leave, their policies apply, not ours. Anything you post in public or semi-public places can be seen and used by others.
11. How long we keep it
- Order records — at least four years, for tax and financial recordkeeping
- Early access list — until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed
- Support emails — up to two years
- Analytics — per the retention settings of the platform collecting it
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know and access what we hold about you
- Get a copy, and have it sent to another company (portability)
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete it
- Opt out of marketing, and of sharing for targeted advertising
- Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights
These rights aren't absolute. In some cases the law lets us decline, and we'll tell you why.
To make a request: email contact@archivedsouls.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming the email on your order.
Authorized agents may make requests for you with proof you've authorized them, and we may still verify your identity directly.
If we say no and you disagree, reply with "Appeal" in the subject line. You can also complain to your state Attorney General or your local data protection authority.
13. Security
Shopify and Stripe both run PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and encrypt data in transit. Access to our store admin is limited and protected by two-factor authentication.
No security is perfect and nothing sent over the internet is guaranteed safe in transit. Don't send us sensitive information over channels that aren't secure.
14. Children
The store isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect their information. As of the date above, we have no actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of anyone under 16. If your child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
15. International
We operate in the United States and currently ship within the U.S. only. Your information may be transferred, stored, and processed outside the country you live in. For transfers out of the EEA or UK, we rely on recognized mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, unless the destination has been found to provide adequate protection.
16. Changes
We may update this policy for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We'll post the new version here, update the date at the top, and give notice where the law requires it.
